What you believe is what comes to you.

Dear Industry Colleagues and Partners,
There’s often a misconception that everything we do must come from Oracle, PMI, ACCEI, or a specific OEM. Some individuals on LinkedIn focus on promoting agile methods but rarely highlight proven techniques.
The “Mafia Manager” was triggered when someone said, “There must be an OEM somewhere; this guy cannot do this.” It’s wrong to claim that CPM Scheduling is the exclusive domain of Oracle — something that can easily be done in Excel or even manually. Using licensed Microsoft or Oracle APIs to build an app does not mean we can’t perform the same tasks manually.
Just because we sell training doesn’t mean we’re incapable of innovation. Even as a professor, if your idea is truly groundbreaking, why is it only found in academic journals? Why hasn’t it been adopted by organizations within your country? At least we’ve created something that has been adopted in the Nigerian oil and gas sector after years of trial and error. Has anyone fired you for failing to solve Nigerian innovation problems?
While these experts have done their part, it would be a disservice to assume that the way you casually spend your time — whether on the streets or playing Bet Naija — is the same way the “Mafia Manager” spent his time in his 20s.
When we say we’ve created a method, it’s a disservice for some to think everything I do revolves around Primavera. I advised these guys to use Primavera to generate HSSE statistics and PMBOK to measure carbon footprints. #Cazzo!
