Optimizing KPI Classification in Oil and Energy EPC Chief Operating Officers (COO) Dashboard (Part 6)

In continuation of our discussion on Chief Operating Officer (COO) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Targets in Nigeria’s Oil & Gas EPC sector, I’m excited to share Part 6 with you.
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to review Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5.
In the Oil and Energy EPC sector, I broadly classify the COO KPIs into two categories:
- Project Management KPIs and
- Front-End KPIs, which include Stakeholders, Finance, and Operations KPIs.
This approach provides clarity to our actions.

Having more than seven KPIs on a dashboard is an anomaly, and instead of having 12, we can further break them down into two groups: one from the General Manager (for Front-End KPIs) and the other from the Project Manager (for Project Management KPIs), both reporting to the COO.
