New Insight of C-Level Roles and Responsibilities in Oil and Gas EPC
Dear BIVILLEPM Community,
In the Oil and Gas EPC, the role of the CEO is divided into two broad parts: Strategic Leadership and Operations Oversight (not Operational Excellence, as that would be the job of the COO).
The role of the COO is divided into two broad parts: General Management and Project Management.
Whatever breakdown you wish to make in the realm of these two roles for a startup, one is the boss and one is the subordinate. They both should work a 40-hour workweek and not part-time in the interests of the organization.

The Chairman, the Non-Executive Director, and the Legal Adviser might be part-time, but not these two and their wages are actually more than the rest of the members of the Board of Directors including the Chairman (unless for dividends if the Chairman is a majority shareholder).
