Maximizing Project Efficiency with ETC Forecasts

--

Dear BIVILLEPM Community,

The amazing thing about Estimate to Complete (ETC) forecasts generated by Earned Value Management is that they can be cascaded to direct costs of equipment, materials, manpower, and indirect costs too.

When projected into the project cash flow forecast, we can know if we have enough cash to venture into some kind of fast-tracking or crashing of the CPM schedule in order to hit the next payment milestone.

We can also set priorities to suspend all indirect costs, such as marketing initiatives at the head office, so that we don’t lose the current contract if there is not enough cash flow or if current lending costs by our funding partners are too high (as is the case with Nigerian banks).
