Commencement of Port Harcourt and Dangote Refineries

We are pleased to provide an update on the commencement of operations for two of Nigeria’s most significant refinery projects.
Port Harcourt Refinery:
NNPCL has announced that the Port Harcourt Refinery, initially scheduled to start in August 2024, will now begin operations in September 2024. This refinery is expected to produce 10–12 million liters of petrol daily, significantly reducing Nigeria’s dependence on fuel imports.
Dangote Refinery:
The Dangote Refinery, which commenced operations in May 2024, continues to ramp up its production capacity. With a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, it is a key player in Nigeria’s vision to become a net exporter of refined petroleum products.
These developments mark critical milestones in securing Nigeria’s energy independence and economic stability.
