From Process Engineer to Project Management: My Journey

By George NWOGU | BIZVILLE PROJECT MANAGEMENT Limited

Dear BIVILLEPM Community,

I tell my comrades that anything is possible and that I can build and maintain refineries. They may not believe it, but my greatest asset is my background as a Process Engineer. I spent about 8 years (2002–2010) striving to become one, delving into Colson and Richardson’s Chemical Engineering volumes 1–6 to integrate my knowledge. My instinct to survive led me to abandon that path, which wasn’t putting food on my table, and embrace project management and consulting instead.

I also interned with EPCM Engineers Limited, worked as a Senior Planning Engineer at Saipem, and briefly served as a Project Planning and Control Manager at Montego. Sometimes, people doubt because they haven’t walked in my shoes. Just watch me when the right opportunity comes.

If I’m determined, nothing can stop me, because I have God and AI on my side. I could lead a team of laypeople to replicate my schedule at Saipem and leverage my experience with OEMs to achieve this.

Best regards,

The BIZVILLEPM Team
