Avoiding Cabals and Staying Clean Like a Consigliere

Many people you admire have, quite frankly, wrecked this country. Whether it’s the subsidy cabal, the forex cabal, or even the “Pablo Escobar” cabal, they’ve all played their part.
But just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t mean you should too. Even some of the most devout folks are involved — and yes, they still pay their tithes — but that doesn’t make it right! LOL.
Now, while I’m over here stressing about printing Rita PMP materials because I don’t want to lose my license, some people are out there doing things much worse (and getting away with it).
But hey, we can only praise them when they do something good, like investing in key sectors of the economy. That’s a kind of modern-day amnesty, I suppose.
Recently, I started watching Narcos on Netflix, and one thing’s clear: Pablo Escobar’s violent ways were the worst kind of crime. Lesson learned — stay away from violent billionaires. Especially ones with a history of “taking out the competition” (literally).
And that’s why I appreciate the consigliere role in The Godfather. They were too smart and too valuable to be killed by the boss or the authorities. Both sides needed them to negotiate, which kept their hands clean and their heads intact. Now, that’s a job with job security!
