Aligning Personal and Company Standards: The True Measure of Success

Dear Industry Colleagues and Partners,

We must be objective — our standards for our employers should also be those for ourselves. One of the key performance indicators (KPIs) for an Oil and Gas EPC COO is client contract renewal rates, with a target of achieving at least an 85% renewal rate. If we cannot fulfill our employee renewal contract with the Contractor Company, we are also failing. Our personal KPI targets are directly linked to the company’s KPI targets.

The difference is that, as employees, we typically manage only one employment contract at a time (or at most two). However, as a company that has scaled, we should be able to handle multiple contracts because we have more employees to support this effort.

We can never grow if we fail to take ownership of both the lack of contract renewal by the ASSET owner and the lack of renewal of our employment contracts. ✊
